Maithree Bhajatha Song by Srimati M.S. Subbulakshmi at United Nations

Maithreem Bhajatha song was written by His Holiness Jagathguru Sankarracharya Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt who was famously known as "Paramaachaarya".

On the ocassion of 25th Anniversary of the United Nations in the year 1966 Nightingale of India & Bharat Ratna Srimati M.S.Subbulakshmi was got invitation from U.N. to sing at there.

Parammacharya wrote and gave this sanskrit song to Smt. M.S.Subbulakshmi when she mentioned about United Nations invitation to her.

On 26th October, 1966 Srimati M.S. Subbulakshmi emotionally rendered this song at United Nations. When this song was rendered at UNO, all the delegates from the World Nations were given the translation of this song. The rendering of this song by Srimati M.S.Subbulakshmi and the meaning was so melting that most of the delegates were very moved and some of them started weeping at the profundity of this song and the voice.

From then onwards M.S.Amma (Music Lovers called Srimati M.S.Subbulakshmi effectionaly as M.S.Amma) sang this song in almost every concert of her until her last performance in the year 1997.

Even after 45 years still the entire world needs the message from this song particularly in the present scenario entire world will recalled again this "Great Peace Hymn".

I prepared one image on adobe photoshop about this Maithree Bhajatha song by using the theme of of Kumaral.Milli from his http://maithreembhajatha.blogspot.in/2005/10/shreyo-bhooyaath-sakala-janaanaam.html blog. In this blog Mr.Kumaran Malli share very valuable information. Particularly the name he mentioned about this blog http://maithreembhajatha.blogspot.in is very impressive and he dedicated one particular blog for this peace hymn. A humble effort by Mr.Kumaran Malli.

Also like Mr.Kumaran from my side i felt that it is my privilege to prepare one image on this Peace Hymn and sharing it with other people (both for music lovers and also for peace seekers) in my Bhrat Ratna Srimati M.S.Subbulakshmi blog which is my humble tribute to our M.S.Amma.
